Mission & Motivation

Mission of Project Spectrum

Connecting affected individuals, parents, guardians, and supporting organizations with the latest information, medical research, support network, all with the single goal of aiding and bettering the lives of the individuals living with the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other related neurodevelopmental disorders.

Motivation for Project Spectrum

My name is Arthi Jaishankar and I’m currently a junior at UCF in Orlando, Florida. I started this project when I was in high school as a student at TrinityPrep with an interest in the medical field. Growing up with a younger sister on the spectrum made me aware of certain hardships that other families have to face. When I became old enough, I took on more responsibility in caring for Aditi and the time I spent with her truly opened my eyes. This home environment made me especially interested in the science behind human behavior. As an aspiring physician, this project allows me to make a significant impact on humanity. Therefore, I was motivated to create this website to help the autism community be informed, receive help/services, and stay up to date on new scientific developments. I hope that this will serve to better society so that people living with autism can reach their fullest potential.
